OBJECTIVES
We aim to enhance the societal participation of individuals with vision impairment through innovative and inclusive care. This mission can be summarised in three different, but interlinked, research objectives. In order to achieve these objectives, our research is structured in the following three Work Packages:
INSIGHTS
In this Work Package, the ESRs perform experiments to gain insights into the visual requirements of everyday tasks, when performed by either vision-impaired or unimpaired individuals
SOLUTIONS
In this Work Package, the ESRs use our insights into functional vision (including new ones gained in WP INSIGHT) to design tests and tools to predict, train and augment functional vision
APPLICATIONS
In this Work Package, the ESRs evaluate whether our new tests and tools afford better-informed decisions and improve daily life functioning
